Who you are booking

This is a small operation. One vehicle, a driver who has spent years on these roads, and a phone that is answered by the person who will collect you.

What that means in practice

You are not booking through a marketplace that passes your details to whoever is available. When you send a message you get an answer from the person who will be driving, which is why we can say yes to route changes on the morning of the tour.

It also means we have limits. We run one vehicle, so some dates are simply gone. When that happens we say so rather than taking the booking and subcontracting it.

What we are not

We are not licensed museum guides. Your driver knows the region, its history and where to be at which hour, and will talk about it all day if you want. But if you want expert commentary inside the Rijksmuseum, that is a different profession and we will arrange one for you rather than pretend.

We are also not the cheapest way to see the Netherlands. A coach ticket is cheaper, and for two people on a budget it is usually the right choice. We wrote the comparison including the cases where you should not book us.

The vehicle

A Mercedes V-Class: seven passenger seats, air conditioning, room for day luggage, and small enough to cross the bridges and lanes that a coach cannot. Child and booster seats are available at no extra cost — we just need the ages in advance.

Reviews

We are rebuilding under a new name, and we would rather show you nothing than show you something we made up. There is no rating on this site and no testimonials, because the honest number would be a small one.

What we can offer instead: ask us for the contact details of recent guests who agreed to be contacted, and we will pass them on. As reviews accumulate on Google they will appear here with links to the originals, so you can check them yourself.

Private Holland Tours is operated by Ecom Drivers, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 94665168, VAT number NL005100505B02, at Rosarium 39, 1338 MR Almere. You can verify the registration in the KvK public register.
